Barbie Dream House Pops Up in Malibu in Latest Viral Stunt for Upcoming Movie
Hot pink mansion available for rent on Airbnb ahead of hotly anticipated film release
A hot-pink mansion that mysteriously popped up in Malibu has been confirmed as the latest viral stunt to promote the new Greta Gerwig-directed Barbie movie.
The iconic three-story Dream House features a disco roller rink, a gym, a giant sandbox, a pool with a second-story pool slide, and a cowboy-themed bedroom -- all painted hot pink.
The house is even up for rent through a promotion in partnership with Airbnb. Bookings open at 10 a.m. PT on Monday, July 17 for two, one-night stays for up to two guests on July 21 and July 22, 2023.
According to the listing, Barbie's Dream House has been taken over by her longtime beau Ken.
"While Barbie is away, she has handed over the keys to her Malibu Dream House this summer and my room could be yours for the night," the listing reads. "I’ve added a few touches to bring some much-needed Kenergy to the newly renovated and iconic Malibu Dream House."
