On Wednesday, the family of Anna "Chickadee" Cardwell held a private funeral for her loved ones to honor her young life.

Also in attendance was People Magazine, which learned that her last days were filmed for the upcoming season of her family's Mama June reality television series.

"That's what she wanted," Cardwell's loved ones told the outlet, though TMZ reported that the crew ultimately decided against filming the funeral itself.

Younger sister and co-star Alana "Honey Boo Boo" Thompson also said she was "still processing" Cardwell's death from stage 4 adrenal carcinoma.

On Tuesday, Mama June Shannon revealed that the family initially wanted to livestream the funeral, but changed their minds in the end. Previously, she had said the funeral would be open to the public. "Anna wouldn't have it any other way but for me to let y'all know, so y'all the fans, could say goodbye to her. We decided as a family," she shared.

Cardwell, who appeared on TLC's Here Comes Honey Boo Boo as well as WE tv's Mama June: Family Crisis, died on Saturday, Dec. 9. She was 29 years old.

"With the breaking heart, we are announcing that @annamarie35 is no longer with us," her family announced on Instagram. "She passed away in my home last night peacefully at 11:12 PM. She gave one hell of a fight for 10 months."

In January, Cardwell was diagnosed with stage 4 cancer. She leaves behind two daughters Kaitlyn, 10, and Kylee, 7, and her husband Eldridge Toney.
