Angus Cloud's mother is looking back at the horrible moment she found him unconscious and attempted to save his life. The Euphoria star died on July 31 from an accidental overdose. He was 25 at the time.

Nearly two months later, his mother, Lisa Cloud, is opening up about the chilling moment she found him. In an emotional new interview, Lisa shared that he was leaning over his desk, which was typical for him since he often fell asleep in his chair when working on artwork. As she got closer to him, she knew he wasn't okay.

"I started shaking him and screaming. I pushed him hard, and he fell on the floor. I tried to resuscitate him — mouth to mouth — and I was compressing him," she told People, crying as she recounted the moment. "I was screaming for my neighbor because I didn't want to leave him and call 911, and I just kept at it until they took him away." She wipes away a tear. "I miss him so much. He was the love of my life."

Just days after her son's death, Lisa clarified that his death was not intentional. (His cause of death was later confirmed to be of acute intoxication of substances fentanyl, cocaine, methamphetamine, and benzodiazepine, according to the Alameda County Coroner.)

"Friends, I want you all to know I appreciate your love for my family at this shattered time. I also want you to know that although my son was in deep grief about his father’s untimely death from mesothelioma, his last day was a joyful one," she wrote on her personal Facebook account.

"When we hugged goodnight, we said how much we loved each other, and that he would see me in the morning," she added.

"I don't know if or what he may have put in his body after that. I only know that he put his head on the desk where he was working on art projects, fell asleep and didn’t wake up... it’s abundantly clear that he did not intend to check out of this world."

She then emphasized, "Social media posts have suggested his death was intentional. I want you to know that is not the case."

In the interview with People, Lisa added: "He went out at his total power, his total beauty, his total influence, and the reaction that everyone has had is very moving to me. You know, he's not just an actor who overdosed. He was a beautiful soul, and that's why people miss him so much."
