Andy Cohen has responded to former Real Housewives of Salt Lake City star Jen Shah’s claims that he’s “butt hurt” about her refusal to sit down for an interview with him. He also clapped back on her claims she didn’t punch fellow Housewife Heather Gay because if she did, Bravo would have the footage to prove it.

Following Tuesday night’s explosive Season 4 finale, in which Heather Gay claimed that Shah gave her a black eye, Shah took to her Instagram Stories from the Federal Prison Camp in Bryan, Texas, where she is serving time for her role in a telemarketing scam.

"BRAVO, if I punched Heather in her eye, you guys would have footage to prove it," Shah wrote Tuesday night. "It's clear the show can't live without me since I was brought up at the beginning, middle, and end of season 4," she continued.

Shah then accused Bravo patriarch Cohen of being "butt hurt that I turned down his 1:1 interview," adding: "Why would you sit down with someone who 'gave' another cast member a black eye? Next story."

Cohen shot back on his Andy Cohen Live show on Sirius/XM, by first noting the irony that he was recently the victim of a scam like the one that Shah is doing time for.

"I'm not connecting her, I'm not saying that she's responsible for it, but I'm just saying it's ironic," he said.

He then addressed the other issues Shah brought up on Instagram. "Let me point out, I don't want to be Captain Obvious here, but if we had footage, don't you think we would've aired it?" Cohen added. "Do you think we wouldn't have said, 'Heather.' Heather's saying, 'I don't know how I got the black eye,' and then don't you think we would've cut to the footage with a chyron that said, 'Four hours earlier.' Pop."

Cohen then addressed Shah’s other claim. "Second of all, I had forgotten about the one-on-one with Jen. She is right. I did want to do a one-on-one with her. I don't care about it anymore. I'm over it," Cohen continued.

He then added that Shah’s "stipulations were insane.” In trade for the interview, Cohen said she wanted Bravo to do “a docuseries of her days leading up to jail” and want to be paid “a lot of money” for it, while she was still claiming to be innocent of her crime. She eventually pleaded guilty in July 2022 to wire fraud.

"So, it would've been another interview of her sitting across from me lying to my face, which we got at two reunions from her," Cohen added. "So that's that. That's my response to that."
