Anderson .Paak Files for Divorce from Jae Lin

Anderson .Paak has filed for divorce from his wife Jae Lin, also known as Jaylyn Chang, after over 13 years of marriage.

According to legal documents obtained by TMZ, The Blast, and Us Weekly, the Grammy Award-winning Silk Sonic hitmaker is asking the Los Angeles County Superior Court for a dissolution of marriage.

.Paak is seeking joint physical and legal custody of their sons Soul Rasheed, 13, and Shine Tariq, six, and requesting that the court to terminate its ability to award spousal support.

The couple, who has kept their relationship largely private, met while attending the Musicians Institute in Hollywood and married in 2010.

"My mom is half Black and half Korean, so I'm a quarter Korean, but I never knew much about my Korean culture until when I was married to my wife, who is fully Korean," .Paak told Hypebeast in a 2023 interview.

"My kids pretty much see themselves as Korean. Raising [biracial] kids, there's a dynamic of 'all right, you got this side and you got this side' and teaching 'em about both."
