Amy Schumer is pressing fans to support Sen. Chuck Schumer's new bill.

The senator, who is the comedian's uncle, announced on Oct. 16 that he would begin work with the Biden administration to put together an "emergency supplemental package (spending bill) that will give Israel the tools it needs to defend itself."

Schumer took to X (formerly Twitter) on Monday to show support for her relative and remind fans of their actual familial relationship.

"Senator Schumer is pushing a very fair bill that gives Israel the money she needs to defend herself and provide ample funds to protect innocent civilians in Gaza," the I Feel Pretty star wrote. "Please call your senator to tell them to support it. And no he is not my dad."

The spending bill will include "military assistance, intelligence assistance, diplomatic assistance and humanitarian assistance to care for innocent civilians," the senator said in his statement.

He added, "We want to move this package quickly. The Senate must go first. I know that the House is in disarray, but we cannot wait for them."

Israeli ground forces mounted their biggest incursion of the current conflict into the Gaza Strip Thursday, attacking multiple targets in the Hamas-ruled Palestinian enclave, as the civilian death toll continued to climb.
