Amy Purdy and Derek Hough put on some very celebratory dancing shoes.

The former Dancing With the Stars couple — who were Mirrorball trophy runners-up during Season 18 in 2014 — reunited at Hough's Symphony of Dance tour over the weekend in the wake of Purdy's ongoing health journey.

"After injuring my leg 4 years ago and enduring 10+ surgeries, I had no idea if I would ever walk comfortable again, let alone dance again," Purdy, 43, shared on Instagram, "and tonight not only did I walk into the theater but I danced again with my friend & DWTS partner @derekhough ❤️."

Purdy, a two-time Paralympic medalist in snowboarding, had both of her legs amputated ten inches below the knee when she contracted bacterial meningitis at the age of 19.

In February 2019, doctors discovered a blood clot from the hip down through the arteries of her left leg.

The discovery would lead to more than 10 surgeries over the course of the next four years.

"Life is such a journey or as Derek says 'life is a symphony!'" Purdy continued on Instagram. "Let this be a reminder that whatever you are going through, keep going!"

Earlier this year, Purdy opened up about the intensity of her latest health prognosis.

"I’ve endured 10 surgeries, including two new leg amputations, all to fight to save my leg," she told the National Library of Medicine magazine. "I am grateful to be doing well now. My body miraculously created an entirely new pathway for blood, and I’m now in the process of getting my prosthetic leg to fit properly. It’s been a journey but another reminder for me of how incredible and adaptable the human body is."
