Alec Baldwin is thinking about giving fans an up-close look at his family life with wife Hilaria Baldwin and their seven kids.

Kelly Ripa mentioned that Baldwin's family of nine should star in their own reality TV show during the actor's appearance on her podcast Let's Talk Off Camera.

"When I think about you, and Hilaria, and your seven young kids. I know what you're going to say, but just go with me. This has reality TV written all over it," said Ripa in Wednesday's episode.

She was surprised when Alec responded, "We've thought about that a lot."

Alec and Hilaria share sons Rafael, 8, Leonardo, 7, Romeo, 5, Eduardo, 3, and daughters Carmen, 10, Lucia, 2, and Ilaria, 1.

The actor continued, "I'm sure you recognize... I mean you have one of the great jobs in daytime TV and I'm not just saying this to be...  Kelly I would never BS you about this."

He noted that Ripa's LIVE with Kelly and Mark co-host and husband Mark Consuelos, understands that she's "the star of the show."

"I don't know about that," Ripa joked.

Alec explained, "For me, everything's about my family. I have really tried in the last several years, once we had five and then six and seven kids, it's like I I can't go anywhere for any length of time."

He said in the past, he's been able to travel to film a movie or "a few episodes of Will & Grace," but things have since changed.

"I need 12 plane tickets," he said, adding, "You know nannies, kids, my wife. They don't even have 11 seats in the business class section of the plane."

He recalled one work trip to Los Angeles a few years ago where the family was together, and he joked to Hilaria, "You realize we're not going to make a dime, not one cent... Here we are, mashed potatoes [are] $20. A Diet Coke is $11. The private plane, the hotel room, the room service. We're going to break even on this job."

Still, he added, "We have fun. We had a ball," pointing out that he always considers his family before signing on to a job. In fact, Alec recently turned down a part that would require him to be in Vancouver, Canada, for five months.

"Shows we have considered and pitches we've heard, and even one or two pitches that we've made about our family, and that reality show, is all so we can stay home and work from home," he shared. "I'm desperate to work from home."
