Don't expect to see the current iteration of Kylo Ren resurrected in future Star Wars movies. Adam Driver, who starred as an antagonist in the Star Wars franchise, confirmed during a recent appearance of the podcast Smartless that he's not shooting any more of the films.

"They're doing stuff but not with me, I'm not doing anything," Driver explained. The actor is likely referencing the upcoming Star Wars: New Jedi Order, due out in 2027, which stars Daisy Ridley as Rey and will be helmed by Sharmeen Obaid-Chinoy.

While speaking to Smartless hosts Jason Bateman, Sean Hayes and Will Arnett, Driver revealed that he didn't get to read a script before making his first appearance in the film.

"I got an offer but there was no script to read, which I had never done before. You had to commit to it," the actor explained. "[Director J.J. Abrams] walked me through the whole thing but there was no script that you could actually see how that played out."

The Ferrari star has admitted that he was originally weary of joining the cast of "big movies," telling GQ in a 2017 interview that "a lot of them sacrifice character for spectacle."

Kylo Ren, he added, felt different. "It was all about story and character and playing someone who doesn't have it all together," Driver said. "Making him as human as possible seemed dangerous and exciting to me."
