The World’s Largest Cruise Ship Ready to Set Sail From Miami
Royal Caribbean's Icon of the Seas has the capacity to carry 7,600 passengers and 2,400 crew members
Icon of the Seas, the world's biggest cruise ship, made it to Miami for the first time on Wednesday.
The Royal Caribbean vessel is set to make its official debut on Jan. 27.
The ship has six waterslides, seven pools and the first suspended infinity pool on a cruise. There are also 40 restaurants, bars and lounges across the ship.
The ship features eight "neighborhoods," including one called Central Park, with more than 33,500 plants.
With the introduction of Icon of the Seas and other new vessels, Royal Caribbean reported its capacity is expected to increase 8% in its third-quarter 2023 earnings.
