Ford is recalling 142,500 Lincoln MKC crossovers after 19 customers reported spontaneous fires under the hood, including some while the vehicle was parked and turned off.

The automaker told customers who own the 2015 through 2019 model years to park them off the road and away from structures, according to the recall announced Friday. However, customers can still drive the cars, it said.

According to the company, an issue with the battery motor sensor can cause other parts under the car hood to overheat and catch fire.

The company said it will add an in-line fuse to the battery monitor sensor to resolve the issue in affected vehicles.

The recall comes only days after Ford announced a recall on Broncos for seat belt issue.

Ford didn't immediately respond to a request for comment.
